Kenny Breuer
Kenny Breuer is a Professor of Engineering at Brown University. He received his PhD from MIT in Aeronautics and Astronautics (1988) and his research interests are in the broad field of Fluid Dynamics. He has been active in the development of diagnostic techniques for micron-scale and near-surface velocimetry, in the characterization of slip flows, the mechanics of bacterial motility and the nanoscale flow near a moving contact line. At the macro-scale, he has worked on the mechanics of animal flight, vortex interactions with compliant structures and energy harvesting from fluid flows.

Marc Brunel
Marc Brunel is a research professor at the University of Rouen. He conducts research at UMR CNRS 6614 CORIA. His research interests include the study of femtosecond fibre lasers, the shaping and characterization of light pulses, and the development of digital holography techniques. A graduate of the Institute of Optics Graduate School in 1992, Marc Brunel completed his thesis at the Charles Fabry Laboratory of the Institute of Optics in 1996, on the protection against intense lasers, before being appointed to the University of Rouen.

Marie Oshima
Professor Marie Oshima is a Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Biofunctional Systems of the University of Tokyo and a researcher at the Centre for Research on Innovative Simulation Software (CISS). She finished her PhD in the Department of Nuclear Engineering at the University of Tokyo in 1992. Currently, she has been engaged in computational hemodynamic, particularly medical-image based modelling and cerebrovascular flow simulation for medical applications. She has been also working on flow visualization and measurements using PIV for blood flow related problems.
